Jasmine Taylor serves as Asst. Executive Director of the Sunrise Children’s Foundation, which has offered no-cost programs and services focused on nutrition and early childhood education for the families of Southern Nevada for over 25 years. Taylor’s entree into the nonprofit sector began at age 16 when she was selected by the Mayors of Compton, where she was raised, and the Mayor of Los Angeles to serve as President of the RebuildLA Youth Task Force after the riots in 1992. She was a youth activist at the time and has been a public servant ever since. Jasmine earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy and Nonprofit Management from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University (DBU).
Jasmine is a Reinhard Mohn Fellow, an international honor awarded to 5 social entrepreneurs from around the world, every 2 years for distinguished accomplishments in their field. She is a National Urban Fellow, speaker, trainer, author, ordained minister, respected community leader and Travelnista, having been to over 30 countries. She has served some of the nation’s most vulnerable communities for over 25 years. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Create A Change Now Foundation and the Democracy Prep Agassi Charter School in Las Vegas.  Jasmine is a devoted public servant and entrepreneur, committed to ensuring children and families have the education and resources they need to thrive, no matter their zip code.
