  • Incorporated as Sunrise Children’s Hospital Foundation
  • by J Parker Kurlinski, MD; Ann Lynch; and Dee Ladd
  • Dr. Kurlinski voted Chairman of the Board of Directors; Ann Lynch voted Board Member and Dee Ladd voted Founding President
  • Established motto: Helping children to fulfill their potential of safe, educated and healthy lives

  • The first Sunrise Children’s Foundation program established – WIC (Women, Infant, Children) Clinics

  • The first PIRC (Parent Information Resource Center) Federal Grant for Nevada awarded to Sunrise Children’s Foundation

  • The first HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) program started in Nevada by Sunrise Children’s Foundation
